APPLE-GLAZED SAUSAGE

Apple juice, apple jelly and maple syrup create a delicious glaze that coats the sausage, for a scrumptious snack or beautiful brunch dish.  Use smoked chicken sausage, kielbasa or your favorite links.

 

2 pounds cooked sausage of your choice, sliced

1/4 cup apple juice

1/4 cup apple jelly

1/4 cup maple syrup

 

Combine the sausage pieces and apple juice in a large sauté pan.  Bring to a boil over medium heat, then cover and cook for 5 minutes.  Remove the lid and reduce the heat to low. Continue cooking the sausage for 5 minutes more, turning the sausages frequently.  

 

Add the apple jelly and maple syrup and cook over medium heat, turning to coat the sausages with the glaze.

 

Serves 8
