CHEWY CHOCOLATE BROWNIE with INTERNATIONAL COLLECTION HAZELNUT OIL

Baking with oil is a great alternative to cooking with butter, and this recipe
using International Collections Hazelnut Oil, makes the most delicious chewy, chocolaty brownies.  We tasted them at the San Francisco Fancy Food Show and were wowed!  Look for International Collection flavored oils at Bristol Farms or your favorite supermarket.   Learn more at http://www.internationalcollection.co.uk/

 

  • 1/4 cup International Collection Hazelnut oil
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate baking squares
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans


Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8-inch square pan with additional Hazelnut oil.

Melt the chocolate with the Hazelnut Oil over low heat, stirring often to
prevent scorching.  When melted, set aside to cool.

Beat eggs, vanilla and sugar together until well blended.  Add chocolate mixture.
Add flour and salt, mix well and then stir in the nuts.

Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 20  to 25 minutes.

Remove from the oven and cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then turn out on
a rack and cut when cool.
