For the Marinade:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 2 pounds chicken wings

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon chili-garlic sauce

In a mixing bowl combine the olive oil, cilantro, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat well. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

To cook, drain the wings from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.

For the sauce, combine the rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, water and chili-garlic sauce in a heavy saucepot. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes or until thickened. Pour the glaze over the cooked wings and toss to coat.
